The old Beveridge station was closed in 1990, with remnants still visible  Road connectivity is strong via the Hume Freeway. However, recent reporting warns of looming transport congestion, as population growth might outstrip infrastructure—leading to overcrowding on V/Line and traffic bottlenecks unless upgrades are made
